Who we are

IKSVAKU is India's premium cold-pressed oil company. We operate the website at iksvaku.store. When we say "we", "us", or "IKSVAKU" in this policy, we mean the entity operating iksvaku.store.

Data we collect

• Phone number — to create your account and send OTP login codes via WhatsApp.
• Name and email — optionally, for order confirmation and account personalisation.
• Delivery address — to fulfil your orders.
• Order history — to display past orders, issue loyalty points, and provide support.
• Preferences (with consent only) — cooking style and health goals for oil recommendations. Only collected when you give explicit consent.

How we use your data

• To process and fulfil your orders
• To send WhatsApp notifications about your order status and supply plan
• To calculate and credit IKSVAKU Rewards points
• To personalise product recommendations (only with your consent)
• To improve our product range and website based on aggregate, anonymised data

Your consent (DPDP Act)

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to give, withdraw, or modify your consent for behavioural data collection at any time.

When you accept the data consent banner, we may use your order history and preferences to personalise your recommendations. If you decline or withdraw consent, we will only use your data for essential services (order fulfilment, support, loyalty points).

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Razorpay — to process payments. Razorpay is PCI-DSS compliant.
• Meta (WhatsApp) — to send order notifications. Only your phone number and order details are shared.
• Delivery partners — your name, phone, and address for parcel delivery.

Data retention

We retain your order data for 7 years for tax compliance under Indian law. Account data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of non-mandatory data (name, email, preferences) at any time.

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of non-essential data
• Withdraw consent for behavioural data collection
• Nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not store payment card details — all payments are handled by Razorpay. Our servers are hosted on a dedicated VPS with automated daily backups and encrypted at rest.
